About
Daniel Coglan, frequently accompanied by his wife Jillian, is a full-time martial arts instructor, specializing in 16th-century Samurai arts. Together they have a combined 35 years of martial arts experience and run a dojo, the Kojokan, in Iowa. When not teaching the dojo, they travel the United States and Canada performing and teaching the ancient ways of history's most famous warriors.Samurai Dan's shows are a unique blend of history, combative skill, and humor, designed to both educate and entertain the audience. Together he and Jillian collaborated to write, direct, host, and star in a 12-episode TV series entitled, "The Way of the Samurai."Dan is also an author, having published several articles on martial arts and a full-length novel, Invasion of the Undead, the first book of his series—The Deathstalker Chronicles.
